"Art at GVSU" is a free mobile application for the iPhone and Android devices that provides access to the more than 11,000 pieces of art in the universitys collection. "Art at GVSU" features:
New features and enhancements are currently under development, including QR scanning and tablet optimization. The app was built by the GVSU Mobile Applications Service Lab in the School of Computing and Informations Systems by utilizing the Art Gallery's online collection database ( Collective Access).

The GVSU Art Gallery has applied for a 2014 IMLS Museums for America grant to help support this project. The end result is a participatory mobile application platform that more acutely meets current interdisciplinary learning and engagement trends, and which promotes a sustainable and flexible model moving forward for not only institutional use, but also for nation-wide open source adoption.
