Description
Celebrate the opening of ArtPrize® Eight with Grand Valley State University!
Join the celebration with the Laker Marching Band, GVSU Dance
Company, WGVU/PBS, and ArtPrize®. The festivities begin at 5:45 PM at
GVSU's L.V. Eberhard Center. Visitors to the grounds of the Eberhard
Center are invited to see this year's GVSU ArtPrize Venue, and
art entry, an exhibition of ceramics. We encourage
visitors to join the PBS Nerd Walk to hear the band and join the
procession to Rosa Parks Circle. Get in the spirit of things and come
dressed as your favorite PBS or NPR Character! All ages are welcome.
After the activities at the Eberhard Center participants are
encouraged to join the band on their march to Rosa Parks Circle. Led
by President Thomas J. Haas more music and dance will be part of the
ArtPrize opening ceremony at 6:30 PM.
