2. The Cell and Molecular Biology Core Requirements (number of credits in parentheses): To complete the major in CMB, students must declare their major and by the time of graduation.

Before AY 2018: in place of CMB 351 and CMB409, choose between two microbiology courses :

Option A: BIO 357 (4) - Environmental Biology OR Option B: BMS 212 (3) - Introductory Microbiology, and BMS 213 (1) - Laboratory in Microbiology

4. A choice between two math/physics sequences:

MTH 201, MTH 202, PHY 230, PHY 231

Or MTH 125, PHY 220, PHY 221 fulfills the math/physics sequence

5. A choice between an independent research experience at a private industry or research lab or at GVSU:
