  • gathering information about graduate schools
  • using eDISCOVER / BRIDGES / O*NET 
  • preparing for the GRE / LSAT / MCAT / GMAT
  • reviewing test preparation guides
  • exploring corporations and institutions
  • searching for international and national job opportunities
  • examining study abroad programs
 
One specific way of using the Career Library is to obtain information by Web sites. Try the following Web sites for researching the career information you may need:

Another way of using the Career Library is to use the available resources to conduct research on an occupation. Consider using the following strategy and steps:

  • Identify a career field
  • Use eDISCOVER, BRIDGES and/or O*NET
  • Read the Occupational Outlook Handbook
  • Review the Dictionary of Occupational Titles
  • Refer to Encyclopedia of Careers, Vocational Guidance Series
  • Read professional journals, periodicals, and monographs
  • Read specific career/job related books
  • Speak with counselors, faculty advisors, and mentors
