Laker Esports Center

The Laker Esports Center (LEC) is located on the bottom floor of the Kirkhof Center, on GVSU's Allendale Campus, and is open daily for drop-in gaming. The LEC is managed and operated by Recreation & Wellness.

All GVSU students, faculty and staff can access the LEC during drop-in gaming hours, and there are 23 gaming setups available for use, which include:

  • Alienware R-13 Gaming PC (Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor, RTX 5080)
  • Alienware 25" 240hz Gaming Monitor
  • MillerKnoll Embody Chair
  • MillerKnoll Motia Gaming Table
  • Xbox & Playstation Controller(s)
  • Nintendo Switch(s)

LEC users are welcome to bring their own gaming equipment, as long as they return the stations back to their original setup upon leaving the LEC.

Esports Club

The esports club is where casual and competitive gamers at GVSU come to play. Esports club members have the opportunity to compete for a team against colleges and universities around the country, participate in community events, and take on leadership opportunities to begin the pursuit of a career in esports/gaming.

Currently, the esports club fields official competitive teams in the following games:

  • Valorant
  • Rocket League
  • League of Legends
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
  • Overwatch 2
  • Rainbow Six Siege
  • Counter-Strike 2

If you're already a competitive gamer, or you're just looking to learn more about gaming and esports at GVSU, we'd love for you to join.
