GVSU in photos, June 2022: Some award-winning photos and a few other favorites from the month

This month's photo collection includes images from University Communications photographers Amanda Pitts and Kendra Stanley-Mills that received awards at the recent University Photographers' Association of America symposium.

A Room With a View

Here are some favorite photos from June

Two healthy peregrine falcon chicks were banded by Department of Natural Resources wildlife biologists June 7 on the roof of the Eberhard Center on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus.

A falcon mother was appropriately protective and aggressive as she soared and swooped near her nesting box and constantly vocalized her unhappiness while DNR wildlife biologists calmly worked with her chicks, who were born in mid May.
