Safewalk Program

The Grand Valley State University Police Department does provide a Safe Walk program for on campus pedestrians.  This service is offered seven (7) days a week from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. during the fall and winter semesters.  Safe Walk is provided to students requesting someone to accompany them walking to or from their destination within the boundaries of the Allendale campus only.  Safe Walk requests cannot exceed two (2) students per requesting party.  Safe Walk is staffed by building security students employed by the department. To request a Safe Walk, call GVPD Dispatch at (616) 331-3255.
