Employee Self-Service Options

Human Resources is committed to providing efficient service, informed consultation, and strategic support. Some HR functions have a self-service option and may be resolved directly by the employee. Review the self-service items below.


Health Insurance

The following functions may be completed within the Priority Health portal:

  • Order replacement or additional Plan ID card 
  • Print temporary Plan ID card 
  • Coverage, claim, and reimbursement questions  
  • Submit claim reimbursements 
  • Precertification requests  
  • Track your deductible  
  • Find a doctor or hospital (in and out of network options)

Health Savings Account

The following functions may be completed within the HealthEquity portal:

  • Track your balance and contributions 
  • Order HSA card 
  • Claim and reimbursement questions 
  • Submit claim reimbursements  
  • Access list of qualified medical expenses 
  • Access HSA tax documents

Prescription Coverage

The following functions may be completed within the Caremark portal:

  • Confirm prescription coverage 
  • Estimate prescription costs 
  • Manage existing prescriptions 
  • Print member ID card 
  • Coverage, claim, and reimbursement questions 
  • Submit claim reimbursements 
  • Track family deductible and family RX costs 
  • View prior authorization requests

Dental Insurance

The following functions may be completed within the Delta Dental portal:

  • Print an ID card 
  • Find a dentist 
  • Access cost estimator  
  • Verify eligibility and benefits  
  • Submit coverage, claim, and reimbursement questions 
  • Submit a claim and check the status of claim

Vision Insurance

The following functions may be completed within the VSP portal:

  • Find a doctor

The following functions may be completed within the iSolved portal:

  • Submit claim 
  • Check account balance 
  • View claim and reimbursement history

Retirement

The following functions may be completed within the NetBenefits portal:

  • View current retirement contribution elections 
  • Increase, decrease, or discontinue retirement contribution elections 

 

Retirement accounts may be closed/rolled over via direct contact with TIAA (800-842-2776) or Fidelity (800-343-3548).

Life Insurance

The following functions may be completed via the Lincoln Financial Group:

  • Obtain evidence of insurability 
  • Submit for additional coverage

Employment Verification

The following functions may be completed via the The Work Number:

  • Verify current or previous GVSU employment for loan application, etc. 
  • Verify current or previous GVSU employment for Public Service Loan Forgiveness

Employee Assistance

The following functions may be completed via Encompass:

  • Schedule a personal counseling appointment for yourself or household member 
  • Secure legal and financial resources and referrals 
  • Connect with a life coach 
  • Secure work/life resources for topics including adoption, elder/adult care, parenting, and childcare
