As the Immigration Manager at GVSU, Kristen prepares and submits H-1B applications and extensions for faculty, verifies international I-9 documents, creates travel documents for international faculty when traveling abroad, assists with general immigration inquiries and troubleshoots any immigration-related issues that arise.

Kristen earned a bachelor's degree from Hope College in international studies with a concentration on Middle Eastern and North African regions, and a master's degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University. When Kristen is not thinking about immigration and international matters, she loves to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling internationally to explore the world, eating amazing food, and learning new languages. When she is home in Michigan, Kristen enjoys hiking, baking, and exploring Michigan’s great beach towns.
