PBW Scholarship Endowment

The Positive Black Women's Scholarship is offered annually. The primary intent of the PBW Scholarship Endowment is to assist African American women in developing and achieving their academic goals. However, the scholarship is open to anyone that meets the criteria provided in the scholarship application.

The scholarship stipend may be used for meeting the cost of tuition, payment of the on-campus housing deposit, purchase of books or other school supplies, assistance with the cost of child or adult care, or any other additional needs as determined by the Scholarship Committee. In most cases, the award will not surpass the cost of a three credit class.

Applicants must reapply annually for the scholarship. The scholarship cycle is from October 1 to March 1 every year.

Recipients are acknowledged at the Women's Commission's annual Celebrating Women Awards Ceremony.
