The badge is comprised of three classes, nine credits total:
Students will develop skills of sensory analysis by assessing aroma, flavor, mouthfeel, and appearance; explore appropriate food-pairings; and explaining the historical and cultural relationships of beers to geographic locations and human populations. Students will also become competent in each step of the brewing process and be able to design a beer to specifications. Lastly, students will learn how to measure and describe the major characteristics of a beer (ABV, IBU, color, clarity) and be able to culture brewing yeast. Classes for this badge are in-person on the Allendale Campus.

Accounting offers many career paths, including consulting, forensic accounting, internal audit, management accounting, and public accounting. The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in accounting provides a solid foundation for licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

The movement science minor is designed to appeal to student interest in personal health and wellness. Skills can be applied to and merged with a variety of professional fields, including human resources, social services, health sciences, sports, and business.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but the fully completed application must be submitted a minimum of 30 days prior to the intended semester of enrollment. The $30 nonrefundable application fee is waived if the applicant has previously applied to GVSU.
