Coursework

A student choosing history of science as a minor program must complete 20 hours of study, including the following courses:

  • HSC 201 - The Scientific Revolution
  • HSC 202 - The Technological Revolution
  • HSC 399 - Readings in the History of Science

You will work with an advisor to select additional courses from humanities, social science and science departments. Independent studies are encouraged. History of Science is not a teachable minor.

Students must complete a minimum of 22 credits in the program. Coursework includes the life sciences (biology and natural resources management), earth science (geology), environmental chemistry, and environmental policy and planning.
