ADMITTED GRADUATE STUDENT SESSIONS
Join our Graduate Admissions team for a live-hosted virtual Admitted Graduate Student Next Steps Session! This Zoom session will focus on what you need to know as a newly admitted graduate student. You will learn about course registration, funding opportunities and we will walk through the admitted student checklist.  This session is intended for graduate students who have been admitted to Grand Valley State University.  These sessions are supplementing not replacing any program specific orientations you may be invited to.

Schedule a Campus Visit

Grand Valley offers many visit opportunities for students. For those unable to make the trip or want an online view of Grand Valley, visit our Virtual Tour.

Apply for Housing

Housing is available for graduate students in Grand Rapids and in Allendale.

Apply for Financial Aid

Students are encouraged to have their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) filed by March 1st for the following academic year.

Register for Classes

If you've already applied and been accepted, you can now register for classes.

Attend Orientation

All new graduate students are invited to attend orientation. There are program-specific, virtual, and general on-campus options available.

Make your Tuition Payment

You will receive an email with directions to view your eBill on myBanner. For more information, visit Student Accounts Office page, this office handles your bill for any Grand Valley related expenses.


Obtain a Student I.D.

Visit a Student Assistance Center in the Student Services Center on the Allendale Campus or the Richard M. DeVos Center in downtown Grand Rapids.  Or email [email protected] with a headshot and your mailing address if you are out of area and a student ID will be sent to you via mail. 

Purchase a Parking Permit

Parking permits are available for online purchase.

Purchase Textbooks and Supplies

Shop online or at one of our two Laker Stores stores on the Allendale and Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus.
