Hana joined the AEP in 2017. During the 2017 - 2019 field seasons, Hana assisted with site management, data collection, data entry, plant collection and preservation in Atqasuk and Utqiaġvik.
Hana graduated with a B.A. in Biology in May of 2018 and she joined the project as a graduate student in May of 2019.
Hana earned her M.S. in Biology in August of 2022. Her Master's Thesis examined the use of computer learning to map vegetation at the plot level.
Of particular interest to her are community ecology, ecological restoration and climate change. She hopes to become an ecologist and contribute valuable research to the scientific community and inspire the public's interest, and appreciation, of the natural world.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, rock climbing and biological illustration.
