Katlyn Betway-May

Katlyn is currently working on the project as a research associate.  She joined the AEP in 2016.  Katlyn graduated with a B.S. in Biology in May of 2018 and continued on the project as a graduate student, she finished her Master's in August of 2020.  During the 2016 - 2019 field seasons, she worked primarily in Utqiaġvik. She also traveled to Toolik Lake to assist with end-of-season data collection. As an undergraduate her independent research project she examined the response of Eriophorum triste to long-term warming.  Her Master's Thesis examined the variation in plant traits across sites.

Katlyn is interested in careers in both ecological research and conservation.
