Lauren joined the AEP in 2024 and spent the field season collecting data at the Atqasuk wet site. She briefly worked with San Diego State University on a helicopter campaign to study thermokarst GHG emissions across the north slope.

She graduated in April the same year, majoring in Environmental Sustainability Studies with a minor in Natural Resource Management. 

Her favorite tundra plant is Luzula Wahlenbergii. In her free time she enjoys reading and doing anything outdoors
