I am the owner and private tutor at Wendy Simon Private Tutoring.

At Wendy Simon Private Tutoring, I specialize in teaching Reading and Functional Academic skills to developmentally challenged individuals of all ages. Some have gone on to attend college and hold jobs due to their ability to read.

The Functional Academic skills include but are not limited to: reading a menu, paying for a meal, paying for a purchase, checking change, leaving a tip, using a cell phone, using the Internet, reading the newspaper, reading a bus/metro schedule, paying bills, managing a checkbook, writing checks, reading a recipe and following it to make something, telling time, duration of time for breaks on jobs, etc..

In addition, I have been successful in bridging the gap in all academic subjects for students who have fallen below grade level due to the difficulties with online learning during the pandemic.
