Beacons of Change Portrait Nomination Form

Grand Valley State University is now accepting nominations for the Beacons of Change project. This project seeks to create a notable alumni of color exhibit at GVSU which reflects our commitment to and helps foster inclusion and belonging on campus.

Please use this form to nominate notable Grand Valley State University alumni who are Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Color (BIPOC) that have had an impact on either the University, their community, the state, the country, or an area of excellence within the context of the US. Current GVSU students will be commissioned to create a portrait of selected alumni. Their portraits will be paired with an oral history of their path to being a Beacon of Change and the impact that they have had.

Nominations close on February 29, 2024.
