Anna Tollefson, '09 - 2015 Honoree
Tollefson played high school volleyball at Kalamazoo Central and Mattawan and said coming to campus for sports camps helped solidify her decision to attend Grand Valley.
Jill Meerman, '88 - 2015 Honoree
Meerman graduated from Grand Valley in 1988 and played four years of varsity basketball and one year of softball for the Lakers.
Susan Korzinek, '83 - 2015 Honoree
While at Grand Valley, Korzinek played one year of softball and junior varsity basketball. She left varsity athletics for intramural sports to better concentrate on academics.
Lorin Cartwright, '79 - 2015 Honoree
Cartwright was the first woman to graduate from Grand Valley with a degree in athletic training and physical education.
Patti Rowe - 2013 Honoree
In the early 1960s when she was in high school, Patti Rowe was told that she did not belong in a chemistry class. She was also informed she could not take the drafting class she wanted.
Joan Boand - 2013 Honoree
Joan Boand took advantage of an opportunity at a new college in West Michigan and, over a 30-year period, created countless opportunities for women to try, play and excel in sports.

Faith Heikkila played three varsity sports basketball, softball, and field hockey at Grand Valley in the late 1970s.
Griffin, Guevara and Witucki - 2013 Honorees
Since the passage of Title IX, the number of high school girls who participate in sports has risen to 3.2 million, 10 times higher than it was in 1972. The number of college women who play sports is six times higher than the 1972 level.
Dana Munk - 2013 Honoree
Although she now wears the hats of an administrator and faculty member, Dana Munk said she will forever turn her head when someone yells, �Coach!
Melissa Stob - 2013 Honoree
Melissa (Sneller) Stob literally grew up on a golf course.�I was strapped to a golf cart while I was in my car seat,� she said. �In my family we say, �If you don�t play golf, you�ll be left behind.
