Robert Monaghan, '67

After serving more than 34 years at the executive level for companies such as General Electric, Ciba-Geigy, Chris Craft Yachts, and Howmet Corporation and Siemens, Robert Monaghan, ’67 thought he was ready for retirement.

When Monaghan retired for the first time in 2002, it didn’t last long. He accepted a position as executive director at the Kemp Center for the Arts, a nonprofit organization in Wichita Falls, Texas. He retired again in 2005 but soon began listing and selling high-end real estate in Texas and Florida and as a licensed realtor. Even after his final retirement in 2010, Monaghan still volunteers as a volunteer educator for Southeastern Guide Dogs in Palmetto, Florida.

Monaghan currently resides in Florida.
