David W. Radel, '02
David W. Radel is Sales and Operations Manager for Triton Technologies, Inc. He began with the company 9 years ago as a GVSU student intern and quickly worked his way up into his current role. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Grand Valley State University in 2002.
Grand Valley not only contributed to David attaining his current
position, but indirectly led him to his wife Kiley, whom he met on a
company business trip. The couple held their wedding reception at
GVSU's Eberhard Center in February 2006, and retains close ties to the
University. They regularly participate and volunteer at various alumni
events, and play a vocal leadership role in young alumni
programming.
David is an outstanding example of a graduate
who generously gives back to his alma mater. A standout student
athlete, he played safety and outside linebacker for the Laker
football team. He continues to strengthen the program through
membership and financial support of the Football Alumni Association
and the Irwin Club.
He is a founding member of GVSU’s Young
Alumni Council for which he has served since its inception in 2008. He
also serves on the Alumni Champions Committee, providing leadership
and support to Shaping Our Future:The Campaign for Grand Valley State
University.
David and Kiley currently reside in Grand
Rapids.
In recognition of his strong commitment to the
future success of Grand Valley State University, and his outstanding
example of alumni leadership and pride, David W. Radel is most
deserving of the 2009 Grand Valley State University Alumni Service Award.
