Dan, '79 & Mollie, '80 Hartlieb
Dan and Mollie Hartlieb have continually served Grand Valley in a multitude of ways since their graduations in 1979 and 1980, respectively. As participants, contributors, and sponsors of various alumni events, fundraising projects, and educational programs, the Hartliebs are outstanding examples of alumni who generously give back to their alma mater.
Through their family business, Midwest Printing and Promotion, LLC, of Schoolcraft, Michigan, they have often lent their creative and technical skills in graphic design and awards systems to highly visible projects for the Alumni Association and the Alumni Relations office.
Constant supporters of Grand Valley Alumni Programs, the Hartliebs were named to the cabinet of the Capital Campaign for the Alumni House in 1998, and saw the project through to the building dedication in 2000. Productive and dedicated alumni who have unceasingly answered Grand Valley's call, the Hartliebs are representative of the best of the GVSU alumni community, in word, deed, and spirit.
The Hartliebs have always been among the first to come forward when asked to stand up for their university. They have given freely and frequently of their time and talent to make Grand Valley a better, and better known, university. Their strong example of loyalty, energy, and service make them most deserving of the 2007 Grand Valley State University Alumni Service Award.
