1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
Since graduating, I joined the Ph.D. program at UNC Greensboro where I investigate the tiny bacteria inside the honey bee gut. Outside the lab, I lead a science policy and advocacy group where I help train students around North Carolina to advocate for science and tech policies and explore careers outside academia.

2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
Spending Fall days at the Sustainable Agriculture Project taking care of the honey bee hives and harvesting vegetables.

3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
A good leader knows how to delegate and lift others around them. My Cook Leadership Academy mentor always told me this when she saw me struggling with things.

4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand Valley experience.
Community. Passion. Leadership.

5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
To provide transformative changes to community engagement in science and climate change action. I want to help people see that climate change is already having impacts on communities near them and for people to actively engage in fighting back and becoming a force of good to heal our planet.
