Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
The AA Preamble
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety

Al-Anon
Is Your Life Affected by Someone Else's Drinking?
"The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems. We believe alcoholism is a family illness and changed attitudes can aid recovery."
If you know someone struggling with alcoholism, al-anon can help you. Whether you be experiencing fear, anger, hurt, sadness, or frustration, al-anon brings together individuals struggling with the same problems and emotions.
Alateen
Is Your Life Affected by Someone Else's Drinking?
"Alateen is part of Al-Anon, which helps families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem drinking of a relative or friend. Alateen is our recovery program for young people. Alateen Groups are sponsored by Al-Anon members."
The Alateen program of recovery is adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous and is based upon the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and the Twelve Concepts of Service.
The only requirements of membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend.
Alano Clubs
Alano Clubs are non-profit organizations that aim to bring experience, strength, and hope to alcoholics in recovery.
"Alone and discouraged describes the alcoholic and their family. The Alano Club of Kent County provides an opportunity for hope, companionship, and recovery. "We'll Save a Seat for You" began as a statement of purpose for our organization. We strive to provide the much needed seat for all those who wish to recover from the effects of alcoholism. The Alano Club offers over 100 meetings per week of Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, and Alateen."
"Our sole purpose is to support the recovery of alcoholics and their families by providing meeting rooms for Alcoholics Anonymous and their families by providing a place to hold social activities for our club membership."
Marijuana Anonymous
Are you struggling with marijuana addiction?
"Marijuana Anonymous is a free peer-support program focused entirely on our shared problem with marijuana or cannabis addiction. Marijuana Anonymous uses the basic 12 Steps, founded by Alcoholics Anonymous, because it has been proven that the 12-Step recovery program works.
Members of MA collectively support each other as peers, sponsors, and friends. MA has a book called Life with Hope and a companion 12-Step workbook, along with other publications. We use the tools of the MA program to help free us of our addictive tendencies and physical dependence on the substance that has caused damage in our lives.
Our program is voluntary. The only thing you need to begin participating is a desire to stop using cannabis / marijuana. Marijuana Anonymous meetings are free and can be attended all over the world virtually and by phone, with in-person meetings available in some areas as well."
