Planning a Visit to the Galleries?
The GVSU Art Museum curates exhibitions in 2 traditional galleries and 3 wall-mounted galleries, located on the Allendale and Pew Grand Rapids Campuses. The traditional PAC Gallery in the Haas Center for Performing Arts typically hosts exhibitions only during the academic year (September through April) and is closed during the Winter break. Below are a few guidelines for visiting our campus galleries and other artwork inside campus buildings.

Check Hours and Parking
The hours of the PAC Gallery in the Haas Center for Performing Arts and the George and Barbara Gordon Gallery in the Richard M. DeVos Center change seasonally. Our wall galleries are on view during regular building hours. Be sure to check for the most up-to-date hours listed below.

A traditional gallery that hosts curated exhibitions of artwork drawn from the GVSU collection as well as outside loans. The gallery also features exhibitions of student artwork at the end of each semester. Closed during summer months and between semesters.
Closed Spring/Summer Semesters
Regular open hours: M T W F 10-5pm; Th 10-7pm during Fall and Winter Semesters except on days the University is closed, holidays, Spring Break, and between exhibitions. See our exhibitions page for open dates.

A gallery encased in glass on the wall of the main corridor of Kirkhof Center across from the Info Desk. This gallery hosts exhibitions from July-December and January-June.

A traditional gallery dedicated to the work of renowned Michigan painter Mathias Alten. It features year-round exhibitions centered on Mathias Alten's life and career with both a first and second-floor gallery space.
Hours:
Fridays and Saturdays 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. except days the University is closed, holidays and holiday weekends, and Spring Break. Closed the weekends of November 29-30, December 20-21 and 27-28, 2024.
George and Barbara Gordon Gallery
Richard M. DeVos Center, Pew Grand Rapids Campus
Note: The Gordon Gallery will be closed the weekends of Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. Additional closed hours include when the university is closed during these holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
