This presentation will emphasize the key importance of teaching
toilet training as part of early childhood education. Participants
will learn strategies for teaching and developing independence in the
area of toilet training and adaptive skills for young children through
systematic programming. The tools and resources shared in the training
will equip the team to develop a plan, in collaboration with families,
to identify current needs and goals to create a plan for teaching the
skills needed to become independent with toileting. Examples of
successful programming will be provided.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs): START is offering
1.75 State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs). Participants
must complete the Attendance Form provided at the training within
3 days of the training date to receive SCECHs. All attendees
will receive a Certificate of Attendance after the training.
