Coaching Community of Practice (CoP)

2024-2025 Meeting Dates

Purpose:

To bring together coach leaders and building coaches to work collaboratively with START to effectively promote the development of coaching structures and support the implementation of evidence-based practices through coaching.

Criteria for Participation:

  • Invitation only for 2024-2025
  • Currently taking an active role as a coach leader or a building coach in their ISD, district, or building. 
  • Previous participation with START such as involvement in an RCN and/or attendance at trainings/CoPs for at least two years.
  • Expressed interest in 2022-2023 year and/or participated in the coaching summer institute

Current Priorities

  • Collectively defining what coaching is (and is not) and differentiating a coaching structure from coaching practices
  • Describe what a coaching structure looks like and what are effective coaching practices 
  • Identify how each RCN is currently implementing a coaching structure
  • Review current coaching resources, including the START Coaching Guidebook and products created by the committees, to create a common vision of what is START coaching
