1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
After graduating, I entered the world of automation distribution
working with machine builders and manufacturers selling automated
products and systems. After 7 years I started as a Business
Development Manager for Feyen Zylstra focused on helping large
manufactures modernize their equipment and processes. I also started a
personal brand, The Manufacturing Millennial to use as a platform to
share with manufacturers and companies the advantages of Industry 4.0
solutions and attract the future generational workforce.
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
My favorite memory at Grand Valley was working with the School of
Engineering and College of Business with entrepreneurship programs and
opportunities for business plan competitions and start-ups.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Networking is just as valuable as education. You can have
everything in life you want, if you will just help enough other people
get what they want.
4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand
Valley experience.
Innovative, Opportunity, Professional
5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
To inspire future generations to look at manufacturing and
automation as viable career choices that they can use to grow and
become successful and help change the state of manufacturing by making
it innovative and attractive.
