Behavior Analysts of West Michigan - Behavior Technician
1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
Since completing my undergrad I have been working on my Master's
degree from GVSU as well. I have loved the experience of learning
about occupational therapy with my cohort as well as the faculty
members. I have accepted a job as a behavior technician for children
who have autism and it has been such an eye-opening experience to
learn and grow as a future professional!
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
I loved being involved in dance troupe while in undergrad. Being
able to choreograph and lead such a wonderful organization helped me
build close friendships and is where I found my place at GV. Every
semester I looked forward to performing in recitals with so many other
talented dancers.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
When things get tough just remember it will be worth it in the
end. This helped me push through some of the hardest times during
undergrad. However, giving my best effort has led me to where I am
today and I thank my past self for putting in the amount of work that
was required of me.
4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand
Valley experience.
Life-Changing, Impactful, Inspiring
5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I would like to bring a unique perspective to the field of
occupational therapy. I hope to work with children and show them their
possibilities by working through a challenging time in their life. I
would love to incorporate my background in dance into the way I treat
my future clients!
