Employer
Army. Recruiting Section Chief
1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
I earned my degree while on reserve status in the military. Upon
graduation, I was asked to work full-time in the Active Guard and
Reserve (AGR) program as a Recruiter. Since then I’ve worked with the
satellite ROTC program at GVSU, Brigade Retention, and I’m now a
recruiting section Chief for West Michigan. I’ve helped many current
and potential GVSU students pay their tuition and navigate their
benefits in the National Guard.
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
Rushing to Mennas Joint for a fatty dub before class.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Never say “That’s not my job” It screams laziness and arrogance.
Chip in and help where you can to get done what needs to be done.
4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand
Valley experience.
Community, Diversity, and Professionalism.
5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I would like to help arm the next generation with the skills and
education necessary to lead productive and fulfilling personal and
professional lives.
