1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
While at GVSU I was a journalist for The Lanthorn, this
experience helped me land a job at the Grand Haven Area Convention
& Visitors Bureau as the Marketing & Communications Manager.
After a few years, I moved on to a role at Kent County as a
Communication Specialist for the Office of the Administrator where I
spent three years working in government relations and crisis
communications. In 2023, I moved to Chicago and I am now the
Communications Manager for the United States at Martin Brower, a
global supply chain company whose largest customer is McDonald's!
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
The friends I made my freshman year are still my friends 10 years
later! I met the best people at GVSU and I am so grateful for those connections.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Believe in yourself and don't give up when things get hard. Never
let anyone tell you that your dreams aren't possible. If you have the
drive and put in the work, all of the right doors will open for you,
just keep going.
4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand
Valley experience.
Fun, impactful, and transformative.
5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I'd like to be an example of making the most out of life! Our
lives are meant to be enjoyed and experienced not just endured. I hope
to inspire others to find their passion and use it to navigate their path.
