1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
My journey since graduating has allowed me to live in Indiana, Illinois, Arizona, Tennessee, and now back home in Michigan. I've primarily worked in Higher Education focused on Student Activities, Residence Life, Retention, and Multicultural Affairs. I consider myself basically a Big Multicultural Assistant or better yet a Mini Dr. Oliver Wilson.

2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
I spent the majority of my time at GVSU serving as a Multicultural Assistant and being a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. A specific memory was traveling to Alabama in 2001 for the Football National Championship with my good friend Yolanda Hinton(Alumni '03). It was our first appearance and we lost, but I never told my Mother I was attending. My Father put money in my account and told me to be safe. My Mother called on my way and said "Your Father would let you go to the moon if you told him what time you were coming home!"

3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
People like being around people they like being around meaning check your attitude and your energy. Also, your Network is your Networth.

4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand Valley experience.
Transformative, Foundational, and Necessary

5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I have a personal passion for literacy and educational access. As a first-generation college student, I work hard to remove barriers for future generations. I believe that everyone should be provided tools to be able to read and attend college or trade school if they desire.
