What is your current position and what do you find exciting about it?

My current position is a Clinical Research Coordinator II at Tulane University. I find it exciting to translate bench science to community health and watch as I see my neurology patients benefit in terms of health outcomes.

How did your GVSU Chemistry degree help you prepare for your position?

My degree helped me learn many lab techniques that I use every day and how to think critically when facing a problem. But most importantly, it gave me a growth mindset.  The late Carl Sagan said it best, "Our passion for learning... is our tool for survival."
