1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
I joined the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice in 2016,
only a few months after graduating from GVSU. After moving up the
ranks working in security and programs, I now serve in the role of
Assistant Superintendent of Programs working with male and female
teens who are currently incarcerated throughout the state of Illinois.
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
I remember having some of the very best professors and meeting
some incredible people I still call friends.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
“They are from the West side of Chicago and have never seen the
lake- what would your view of the world be?”
4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand
Valley experience.
Innovative, Exciting, and Fun!
5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I want to invest in helping our communities and bringing to light
major issues with solutions to solve them. I want to help educate and
rehabilitate families and youth with a foundation of trust, empathy,
and safety.
