1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
After graduation, I worked at Frederik Meijer Gardens &
Sculpture Park where I managed annual giving programs and raised money
from individuals, corporations, and foundations as part of their $115
million capital campaign. I now live in Atlanta, GA and build
relationships with Georgia Tech alumni in Florida on behalf of our
Office of Development as part of a $2.1 billion capital campaign.
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
I visited Seattle with others in my graduate program to attend a
conference, which the Graduate School helped pay for. We became fast
friends and enjoyed exploring the city and meeting philanthropy
executives from around the world.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Don’t let perfection get in the way of doing good.
4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand
Valley experience.
Collaborative, practical, and open.
5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I’d like to encourage more and more folks to engage in the joy of
giving to organizations and projects that are meaningful to them and
make a positive difference in the lives of others.
