1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
After graduating in 2010, I joined Americorps in Orlando, FL, and
worked for a nonprofit housing organization, that focused on
affordable housing within the Orlando area. After the year was up, I
transitioned to the American Cancer Society, which eventually led me
back to Michigan and closer to family. I was in nonprofit with both
the American Heart Association and Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation
Hospital until making a jump to retail in April 2019.
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
Meeting some of my best friends and attending GVSU football games
where we cheer on our Lakers!
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Don’t burn a bridge - you never know when those that you’ve
worked with will be back in your life. My dad always told me those and
those words have guided my career.
4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand
Valley experience.
Fun, Exciting, and Successful
5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
Make the place a little happier than where I found it. Make my
presence felt in the little piece of the world I’ve touched.
