Study Abroad Programs

Studying abroad as a Statistics major gives students different skills to grow as a professional. Studying abroad will improve a students critical thinking skills, advance cross-cultural and problem-solving skills, and help to prepare for a career in a global economy. Students will have the opportunity to take academic credit in countries like Australia, Ghana, Turkey, as well as, many others.


Develop some of these technical and professional competencies to be successful:

  • Use mathematics and statistics to help develop solutions to practical problems
  • Follow complex mathematical and statistical arguments and to develop brief arguments of your own
  • Work with mathematical and statistical computer software packages: MS Excel, MS Access, SPSS, and SAS
  • Communicate mathematical and statistical information effectively
  • Manage your time and employ good organizational skills
  • Work with patience and persistence
  • Find, extract, and analyze data from many sources
