Information Technology Minor
Requirements for a Minor in Information Technology
The following minor requires a minimum GPA of 2.0 to be approved. A minor in information technology must complete at least 24 hours as follows:
All of the following (18 hours)
- CIS 150 - Introduction to Computing Credits: 3
- CIS 160 - Programming with Visual Basic Credits: 3
- CIS 230 - Hardware and Software Credits: 3
- CIS 233 - Concepts of Database Systems Credits: 3
- CIS 237 - Introduction to Network Management Credits: 3
- CIS 339 - IT Project Management Credits: 3
Two electives selected from the following (Hours: 6)
- CIS 231 - Problem Solving Using Spreadsheets Credits: 3
- CIS 238 - Internet Media and Programming Credits: 3
- CIS 260 - Application Development in Visual Basic Credits: 4
- CIS 331 - Advanced Spreadsheet Development Credits: 3
- CIS 338 - Wide Area Network Engineering Credits: 3
