EGR 532 - Biomedical Imaging and Image Processing
Study of biomedical imaging modalities used in diagnostic imaging with an emphasis on physical principles and algorithms underlying X-ray imaging, computed X-ray tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound imaging. Topics also include multidimensional signal processing, image acquisition and filtering, reconstruction, quantification, segmentation, and pattern analysis. Crosslisted with EGR 432. Offered winter semester. Prerequisite: Admission to M.S.E. program and permission of instructor.
