HNR 232 - Trauma, Culture, Memory
Examines a wide range of traumatic events (e.g., Nazi Holocaust, the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., the Vietnam War, and the Oklahoma City bombing) to understand the impact on culture and how culture, in turn, shapes the experience, meaning, resolution, and remembrance of these events. Course is interdisciplinary and incorporates materials from the arts, music, literature, and the sciences. Fulfills Foundation - Social and Behavioral Sciences. LD. Offered winter semester. Prerequisite: HNR 231 or permission of instructor.
