Badge in Intercultural Competence
The intercultural competence badge is an experiential academic option open to both degree-seeking and non-degree seeking students. Students who complete the certificate will gain a skillset that will foster their interactions and increase their comfort with different cultural groups in both their personal and professional lives. The badge is nine credits.
ITC Badge Program
Acclaim is the badging platform that is used to store, display, share, and manage digital badges earned at GVSU. Acclaim alerts individuals who meet the established criteria via email with instructions on how to accept the badge. When you have completed the badge requirements, you can email the Intercultural Training Program Coordinator. They will confirm your completion and award you the badge on Acclaim. Courses offered within the ITC Badge program may be completed online, hybrid, or in face-to-face formats.
Badge Requirements
Students may be degree-seeking or non-degree seeking students to receive the badge. The badge is awarded upon completion of the badge requirements. Once accepted, the badge will be publicly available on your profile within Acclaim.com.com where it can be shared with individuals, posted on person websites or social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
