EGR 482 - Internal Combustion Engines

Study of thermodynamic processes in spark ignition and compression ignition engines is performed. Ideal and real models of engine cycles are considered, and the effect of operating variables on engine performance and pollution formation is discussed. Engine balancing for in-line engines and the effect of firing order on it will be studied. Offered winter semester. Prerequisite: EGR 360.
