MTH 229 - Teaching High School Math

In-depth study of mathematical content suitable to secondary classrooms. Integrated discussions of student's learning, pedagogy, secondary curricula, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics standards, and relevant research. Requires at least 6 hours of fieldwork in a high school setting, including structured observations or small group teaching of instructor-provided activities. Offered fall semester. Prerequisites: MTH 201 or equivalent and sophomore standing.
