PLS 309 - Race, Ethnicity, and Politics in the United States

This course examines race, ethnicity, and politics in the U.S. Students will learn about the history of race in the U.S. and how it impacts government and politics. Topics for this course include theoretical concepts of race and ethnicity and how those inform notions of citizenship and group membership. Offered fall and winter semester. Prerequisite: PLS 102 or permission of instructor.
