FRE 332 - French Unfiltered

Study of the French language spoken throughout the world and its evolution over the centuries. The course explores the history of French, language contact, sociolinguistic variation, slang, language policy and change, the concept of Standard French, and more. Required for French education majors and minors. Prerequisites: C (not C-) or better in FRE 315.
