Join the 6th Annual Climate Change Education Solutions Summit

Join the GVSU 6th Climate Change Education Solutions Summit October 15-17, 2024 for a can't miss annual community conference with opportunities to engage in person and online. Meet fellow educators and climate activists, bring your students, become a presenter and/or a sponsor, share, and learn. As a part of the Global Climate Change Week, the CCESS 2024 will focus on the nexus of Food, Water, and Energy complex systems in the context of climate change locally, nationally, and internationally. 

We invite you to organize and get involved in presentations, workshops, panel discussions, and special events, and look forward to welcoming you to beautiful West Michigan this October. As always, this event is free for all guests. We appreciate your participation and support.

Call for Sponsors

Please, consider  the following  levels of support by making a contribution to GVSU Development for the  Climate Change Education Solutions Network

  • One-time optional contribution of $20 at the time of your registration for the CCESS 2024 (CCES Community Supporter)
  • A recurrent contribution of  $10 monthly (CCES Community Member)
  • One-time contribution of $100 when you host a table for your organization at the CCESS 2024 Climate Expo (CCES Community Partner)
  • A one-time or recurrent gift of $500 or more (CCES Community Pillar). All donations over $100 will be recognized on the CCESS 2024 website, social media, and printed materials.

Call For Proposals

Submit a 100-word abstract of your proposed  activity by August 31, 2024. We encourage you to consider the following formats:

  •  15-minute presentation in a break-out session (in-person or virtual) October 15,
  • 30-minute plenary presentation or a panel (in person or virtual) October 15 or 16,
  • 60-minute organized session with up to 4 speakers of your choice (in person or virtual) October 15,
  •  60-minute interactive workshop or outdoor activity  (in person or virtual) October 15 or 16,
  •  60-minute break-out session including up to four (4) 15-minute presentations (in person or virtual) October 15 or 16.

Call for Registration

Register to attend the 6th Annual Climate Change Education Solutions Summit. There is no registration fee and we encourage you to engage your students, colleagues, and community partners in as many sessions as possible. Make sure to register each participant or ask them to register to help our event capacity planning.

Note that in-person events will take place on GVSU Allendale campus Tuesday, October 15 and at GVSU Annis Water Resources Institute in Muskegon, Wednesday, October 16. They will not be broadcasted this year.

Virtual webinars on both days will NOT duplicate in-person events and serve to bring closer sessions with remote participants.
