ICMA Student Chapter at GVSU Wins Top Honors

Congratulations to the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Graduate Student Organization here at GVSU! This student organization recently won first place for the ICMA’s Annual Student Chapter Best Event contest, sharing top honors with the student chapter at Central Michigan University (the event was a joint effort between the schools). This is a national recognition and comes with a $900 prize to assist in getting students to the annual conference. We are very proud of this recognition, and many thanks go to Katie Beemer (MPA, ’21) for her leadership as chapter president and for her key role in organizing the event.
