Dr. Davia Downey submits article for publication

Governments all over the world have been struggling to deal with COVID-19. Sharing information and coordinating policy between and within governments is especially difficult in federal systems like the United States and Australia; an intergovernmental forum that brings leaders together is crucial to a successful response.

Davia Downey is associate professor in the School of Public, Nonprofit and Health Administration at GVSU. Her research interests include disaster management, economic development, and intergovernmental relations. Her recent work has been published in the Urban Affairs Review, Economic Development Quarterly, The DuBois Review: Social Science Research on Race, and an edited book Cities and Disasters (Taylor & Francis/CRC Press).
