Officer Joel Reimink, '06, receives Life Saving Award

Congratulations to Officer Joel Reimink on receiving a Life Saving Award presented by Holland's Chief of Public Safety Services, Matt Messer.

On October 3, 2020, Officer Reimink and his K9 partner "Ruthie" assisted with a missing 4-year-old in Wright Township in Ottawa County. The conditions were cold that night and there was a significant concern for the child due to the risk of exposure overnight. After a lengthy search in a corn field, Reimink and Ruthie located the missing girl who was scared and cold.

Officer Reimink graduated from GVSU in 2006 with a degree in criminal justice.
