The Pre-Health Physician Assistant Studies (PAS) emphasis is for students who are interested in later applying to the Grand Valley State University Physician Assistant Studies (PAS) graduate program. Students may need to complete additional prerequisites when applying to other college/university PAS programs. A minor is not required for this emphasis. Students interested in this major are encouraged to meet with a College of Health Professions advisor early in their academic career.  

Physician Assistants (PAs) are health care professionals who practice under the supervision of physicians. PAs are formally trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative health care services as well as treating minor injuries.
